We are a nonprofit that is passionate about women's health, informed choice, and empowering births! We are currently offering classes such as prenatal yoga and educational classes, birth and postpartum doula services, and certified lactation counseling. Serving the Alleghany Highlands and surrounding areas.
Affordable care
It’s essential for us that our clients have affordable access to quality maternity care. That’s why our doulas are Virginia State Certified and are Medicaid providers! Quality, personalized care can be a financial stressor, but with Mountain Momma Maternity, it doesn’t have to be!
Our rates
Birth Doula
Birth doulas are hired for pregnancy and birth to provide pain management support, encouragement, guidance of the non-trained birth team (husbands, sisters, friends, etc.)

Postpartum Doula
Postpartum doulas are trained to support families on navigating changes once a baby is born through guidance in baby care, feeding, and soothing. Our rate is for 10 hours of service with an option for overnight care.

Bereavement Doula
A bereavement doula or a “loss doula” is someone who walks with, supports, and helps families who are experiencing the loss of their baby, whether that loss is through miscarriage, stillbirth, or a diagnosis that means the baby will not live long after being delivered.
